In the Scholomance trilogy, teens are locked in a magic school full of monsters because that’s somehow more survivable than dealing with even more monsters outside the school. In this YA fantasy, the main character, who has just as much snark as she does destructive evil magic, is pitted against the school’s shining hero, who’s already saved her life more times than is tolerable.
