Ella Minnow Pea is a very creative exploration of censorship through a fictional island nation that reveres words but begins banning letters, one by one. It’s an epistolary novel with delightfully creative word-play. For example, after the letter D was banned, some characters began using “sun-to-sun” for “day.”
